Relaxation & Stress Reduction

On behalf of the Maine School Counselor Association Board, we would like to thank you for being a featured presenter at both the 2015 and 2016 MESCA Conferences. Your presentation on Relaxation and Stress Reduction was very informative and well received and served to help assist our counselors in being more effective in their practice of supporting students and families throughout the State.

We know that stress is a necessary component of our physical survival. I certain amount of stress in the right situation is a good and healthy thing. However, if we become chronically stressed or anxious, it becomes a serious detriment to our physical and emotional health and well being.
My experience as a School Counselor led me to develop an approach to relaxation and stress reduction that is easy to understand, easy to do, and gives powerful and proven results. The techniques themselves are simple, but it is up to each individual to do the ongoing practice of implementing them in their daily life. With regular practice you will find yourself feeling more relaxed, healthy and happy. You will also notice yourself becoming more aware and in control of your thoughts, emotions and behavior.
Relaxation is the "master key" that unlocks and opens the door to optimal physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. Once you know how to relax you can begin to create your life experience through conscious choice rather than unconscious and habitual reaction.
