Look With Thine Ears

The title is a quote from Shakespeare and seems an appropriate one for the concept of  finding what we are looking for. Hearing the call. Finding our vocation = calling. In order to hear a calling we have to be listening, and in order to truly hear we have to listen beyond the preconceived ideas of what we should be doing (based on our fears of personal inadequacy, or prejudices about what work is more worthy or respectable in the eyes of society). And the really big challenge is letting go of our vested interests around things we might have spend a lot of time or money training to become, only to find that it is not really who we are or want to be. This can happen in regards to jobs, relationships, living situations etc... 

To hear our true calling we have to forget all that stuff and follow our Bliss. Dive deep into true being-ness beyond personal identity and form. Release the idea of "Self". Turn down the volume on fear and craving and social obligation. Absorb into the bliss of complete silence and emptiness. And eventually you will begin to catch glimpses of image or insight, and Life's natural expression will become clear. Listen.....can you hear it?.....the voice of your heart?

The great poet Rumi wrote:  "Everyone has been made for some particular work, and the desire for that work has been put in every heart."
